Do you like piña coladas?
Getting caught in a tropical rain? (As opposed to a quarantine lockdown?)
Well, at least you can FEEL like you’re somewhere else with this candle.
I am one of those wary of heavily floral scents, the too-perfumy types that make eyes water and noses itch (and can even bring on the occasional asthma attack). Flower Child is none of those. It’s the opposite of those.
I pick up the plumeria scent the most, which is why it reminds me of a lei. This candle is like wearing a lei or sitting under a plumeria tree while Menehune and satyrs anatopistically weave flowers in your hair.
I love this collection - I have now tried one of each - masala chai, mayan chocolate, flower crown, and rose+smoke - and they are each wonderful. The description of "offbeat but classic" is spot on. From the warm delicious chai and chocolate to the unique florals of flower crown and rose+smoke that I so badly needed to remind me of spring when the weather is so cold - they are all winners. (not to mention just the look of the rose+smoke - love it! - I am enjoying it too much to burn, yet, but the fragrance still fills my room :-)
The answer to the "Should I buy the Masala Chai candle?" question is yes. Yes you do.
The spices are at the forefront, but the vanilla is what really holds them all together and creates that wonderful warmth and a perfect wafting candle (without being sweet).
I'm a big fan of the Cardamom + Anise candle from fall, and this is a similar type, but ideal for the other side of winter.
